Many years ago, while playing as mixed doubles partner with the great Stacy Bromberg, she offered a tip that I’ve often passed on to aspiring tournament players.

On the board next to us, a darter had a bounce-out, which he proceeded to be vocally upset about.

Stacy commented that it is critically important to stay focused on the game: “Forget that bounce out, you can’t change it. It is just a distraction.”

That focus is a key factor in the success of Pros in any sport. The past is done, ignore it and focus on your next dart.
